Corporate support

"If I ever did one good thing …."

said Professor Sir Ludwig Guttmann about his pioneering use of sports in the rehabilitation of disabled people.

How would your company complete this sentence?

If you struggle to find an answer, then read on.

At NPHT we invest a lot of effort in using our Paralympic collection items as the basis for educating people on disability issues and promoting diversity, equality and accessibility for all. After all, there’s no point in keeping our amazing sporting heritage in boxes.

We want to build partnerships with companies who share our vision of the future: one where everybody and every body has access to the same spaces, opportunities and experiences. We were all born human, so celebrate diversity and difference with us and ensure that disabled people are welcomed into your company as both employees and customers. NPHT is uniquely placed to be able to inspire you and your employees and challenge your understanding of disability, using our Paralympic heritage. We have developed a menu of activities that can help companies looking for a creative way to address equality, diversity, and inclusion at work.

  • Corporate Away Day. Our flagship event that introduces you to the Birthplace of the Paralympics at Stoke Mandeville. Visit the Corporate Away Day page for more details.
  • Disability Language and Behaviours Workshop. A one-hour face to face session to improve confidence in working alongside people with disabilities. Cost from £350.
  • Accessibility Audit. Allow us to audit your office environment and report back on how you can make reasonable adjustments to better accommodate disabled visitors or staff. Easily combined with the workshop. Geographical limits apply. POA.
  • Virtual Tour of the Heritage Centre. A great introduction to the history of the Paralympics. Let us guide you virtually around our museum for 40 minutes. Good for businesses with multiple office locations – worldwide. Cost from £300.
  • Virtual Tour of the Global Virtual Museum. Our latest project is now 2 years old and has 7 galleries ( and counting) that can be explored online. Check out UK regional galleries, disability sporting organisation galleries and our international galleries, utilising top quality 3D scanning technology and a range of accessibility aids. A personalised tour is 45 minutes, plus 15 minutes Q&A. Cost from £350.
  • Paralympian Talks. Talk to us about how you can access Paralympians past and present as guest speakers both online ( great for Wellbeing sessions) or in person as an add on to your Away Day with NPHT. POA.
  • Sponsorship Opportunities. If you’d like to benefit from an association with NPHT through sponsoring our events and helping us to cover the costs, we would love to hear from you. Our online ‘ Meet the Paralympian’ talks reach up to 2000 people each time, a mix of school children and adults. The price to sponsor 2 talks ( on the same day) is £500 ( no VAT).
  • Volunteering. We welcome corporate volunteers at NPHT. Whether you can offer your work-based skills to support our needs, or supply manpower to help us at weekday events or educational visits.
