I have a HND in IT from Milton Keynes. I volunteer for different charities and enjoy reading, writing, drawing, photography and creating videos. I heard about the project through the charity Talkback who are helping me with getting paid work.

Before I took part in this project I didn’t know much about the Paralympics.

I have enjoyed all of the project: learning about the Paralympics from a Paralympic athlete who participated in the Games, the scanning of objects, photography lessons and writing the exhibition text which brought my creative side to the surface.

Being able to meet and talk with people I wouldn’t otherwise have met has been a lovely experience too. For me, I have learnt that the Paralympics helps people with a disability to be seen as more than their disability, whether they have been born with one or gained it.  It helps inspire people to believe that maybe they can overcome difficulties.
