Open to all cultural organisations in Buckinghamshire

We are working on a project with Royal Holloway University London to create new and inclusive audio descriptions for our virtual galleries. With this project there is the opportunity for cultural organisations in Buckinghamshire to attend a training workshop to learn more about inclusive co-created Audio Description (AD). Inclusive Co-created Audio Description (W-ICAD) model offers museums and cultural institutions a streamlined way to create new AD, extending their digital provision and boosting inclusion.

A group of people cluster around a painting hanging on a wall in an art gallery. Most are seated but three are standing. One person is talking, and the others are listening. They are all looking at the painting, which we cannot see.

The two-hour online training will cover the theoretical background of the model, the practicalities of running the workshops, and provide an opportunity to sample the co-creation experience as part of a group. There will be opportunities to ask questions during the session and also afterwards.

If you would like to know more, click this link to a short video from Royal Holloway University explaining the training and the model.
