Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Summer Games

The Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games were postponed until the summer of 2012 due to the COVID-19 pandemic and were largely held behind closed doors without spectators. 4,393 para athletes from 162 countries competed in the Games, in 539 events across 22 sports. 86 countries claimed at least one medal, more than ever before. ParalympicsGB consisted of men and women who won a total of 124 medals, 41 gold, 38 silver and 45 bronze, finishing second in the medal table. Read more about the Tokyo Paralympic Summer Games here.
